Certificate II in Creative Industries (Media) with a Radio Focus

This program is designed to encourage young people to aim for tertiary education, through a practical course in radio.

Participants will develop skills in communication, problem solving and critical thinking, initiative and enterprise, technology use and self-management.

They will learn about study and work opportunities in Communications and Media and broadcast their own show on 5PBAFM in Salisbury.

Twelve25 Salisbury Youth Enterprise Centre, the City of Salisbury's Youth Centre is providing support in kind to the program.

It is offered by Radio Adelaide Training in conjunction with 5PBA FM in Salisbury, as part of the University of Adelaide’s Higher Education Participation and Partnerships Program (HEPPP).

When: Mondays at 4:30pm-6:30 pm. Classes will run across school terms 2, 3 and 4, starting on Monday April 30th.

Broadcast: Broadcast of the weekly hour long radio program will run in Terms 3 and 4.

Where: Classes will be taught at PBA-FM Community Radio and at the 12/25 Salisbury Youth Enterprise Centre’s new computing facilities.
